Do you have a story and photo you would like to share about your DCC adopted kitten or cat? We're looking for some laughs, maybe some tears, how they have changed your life, how they have touched your heart. We will post your photo and story on our home page to share with all of our visitors. Maybe you'll inspire someone to share their life with a homeless cat.
My name is Tucker and I’m about 6 years old. I was found wondering in a lady’s yard in Pittsville with a terrible gash in my right rear leg. I was very scared and in a lot of pain, so the lady that found me, thought I was a feral kitty and trapped me to help me. She happened to take me to Delmarva Cat Connection and they found a foster that took me in. I was still very scared and in a lot of pain. They took me to Berlin Animal Hospital and Dr. Palmer had to remove my leg to save my life. In two weeks, I felt so much better and I started to purr and then my foster mommy, Kelly, knew I would be with her forever. Little did she know, 4 years later, she would develop Cancer in her lung and brain. She loves me so much, but now cannot take care of me. At times, when I go to the litter box to urinate, I don’t make it completely inside the box. She was very ingenious, as she found a large, shallow plastic tray and put the litter box inside of that. That was fine, when she was healthy, but now it’s too hard for her to lift the box and clean the tray. I am a very good boy, but I do have this special need.
I would love to find a home as wonderful as this home has been. If you think I would be the kitty for you, please contact Delmarva Cat Connection at 410-723-5585.
